DALSA Corporation, an international leader in high performance digital imaging and semiconductors, today announced the appointment of Wajid Ali as Chief Financial Officer, effective mid-May 2007.

Mr. Ali joins DALSA from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he headed the finance function for AMD's second largest business unit. Prior to AMD, he was Group Controller for the Personal Computer Business Unit at ATI Technologies. He has also held several other controllership and operational roles at ATI in their Desktop Business Unit. Mr. Ali holds a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from York University, an M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business, and a Certified Management Accounting designation.
