DALSA Named One of Canada’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies in 2005 Deloitte Canadian Technology Fast 50 Program

DALSA (TSX: DSA) is pleased to have been been named to Deloitte's prestigious Canadian Technology Fast 50, the annual program that recognizes excellence, innovation and the fastest growing tech companies in Canada. Rankings are based on percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 2000–2004. DALSA's revenue increased 216% during that period.

In addition to being included in the Canadian Technology Fast 50, DALSA also received the GrowthWorks Leadership award in the Hardware/semiconductor sector for the second year in a row for its consistent and outstanding business performance and profitability.

"I am very pleased that DALSA has been included in the Fast 50 and has once again won the GrowthWorks Leadership award," said Savvas Chamberlain, CEO of DALSA Corporation. "I share these distinctions with all DALSA employees who work hard everyday to create more and ever better technology. I believe strongly that leadership in technology is what enables Canadian companies to be successful and to compete in emerging world markets."

"Sustaining high revenue growth over five years is an exceptional accomplishment. We commend DALSA for making the commitment to technology and delivering on the promise of market longevity," said Garry Foster, National Director, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Deloitte. "We are proud to honour DALSA as a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner and as a recipient of the Growthworks Leadership Award."

Winners of the 15 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
