DALSA is pleased to announce the release of its FTF2020M 4 megapixel, full frame CCD monochrome image sensor for industrial and medical markets. With an optical size measuring 24mm x 24mm, DALSA's latest 12 micron square pixel TrueFrameTM image sensor combines high dynamic range, excellent antiblooming, low dark current and high speed making it ideal for industrial X-ray inspection, microscopy, radiography and fluoroscopy imaging systems. This release demonstrates DALSA's commitment to providing high quality CCD imagers for demanding digital imaging applications. Samples of the FTF2020M are currently available for evaluation purposes.

The FTF2020M has exceptional dynamic range (greater than 82dB) which provides elevated contrast and maximum accuracy. This allows industrial inspection imaging system manufacturers to offer solutions that more precisely avoid missed defects and false triggers. State-of-the-art medical diagnostic equipment manufacturers can offer their customers improved image quality, thus enabling more informed decision-making. With up to 30 frames per second and 160MHz throughput, the FTF2020M enables accelerated system throughput.
