DALSA sponsors Mars Rover exhibit at the Perimeter Institute's Quantum to Cosmos Festival

Canada’s Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics celebrates its 10th Anniversary with the "Quantum to Cosmos: Ideas for the Future" festival. This innovative festival, running October 15th to 25th in Waterloo, Ontario, will take a global audience from the strange world of subatomic particles to the outer frontiers of the universe.

Q2C's extensive program features a wide range of interesting speakers providing lectures and discussions at Perimeter Institute and even more ideas at the Physica Phantastica Exhibit, a Sci-Fi Film Fest, Science in the Pub gatherings and screenings of The Quantum Tamers.

Honorary Festival President, Professor Stephen Hawking, will appear via multimedia at Perimeter Institute to narrate an immersive 3D journey through the cosmos at the Physica Phantistica Exhibit.

DALSA is proud to sponsor Physica Phantastica's centerpiece, the Mars Rover exhibit featuring Curiosity, a full-size prototype of the next Mars rover visiting Waterloo from California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. This is your chance to see this mechanical wonder up close and in person before it blasts off (carrying DALSA-built image sensors) to Mars in 2011.

The Festival is partnered with Canada’s National Science and Technology Week and contributes, globally, to the International Year of Astronomy. Q2C will stream events live and on demand, offer virtual interaction with exhibits, and provide special opportunities for students and teachers. Q2C welcomes school groups and hosts Arts & Cultural events during the festival.

DALSA invites you to explore and enjoy Q2C onsite in Waterloo, Ontario, on TV in Canada via TVO, and online around the world at Q2Cfestival.com.
